Brymo moves on

Last time Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo was in the news, it was about his fallout with his former record label, Chocolate City.
While the label accused him of insubordination, the singer claimed that the label breached his contact and did not give him time to work on his album.Right now, the son of a carpenter is set to release his new album which he recorded independently. When Saturday Beats contacted the singer, his phone was switched off but his manager, Lanre Lawal, told Saturday Beats that the dark-skinned singer has since moved on with his life. “As it is, we are moving forward and not looking back; we are okay and moving on. As it is, we are trying to keep the Brymo versus Chocolate city issue from the public. This album is a make or mar situation,” he said. Saturday Beats learnt that the artist intentionally hid from the public to work both in the studio and the gym. His recent photos show that the young man has been working out. It was gathered that his new look is part of the brand, Brymo.
He said, “It is a whole new chapter for the artiste and brand called Brymo even his new look. The album has a lot of music in it. I mean that because of its strong Afro-beat influence.“The major challenges he had after being on his own is the fact that the industry does not have a structure. He had to stay away from the public for three months. He was in the studio working. He is at a point where everything has to be done well. However, he is not under any pressure.”
