Davido’s hit track, Skelewu is still generating controversies even as it has three videos.
After the song became a hit, a ‘trailer’ video of the song surfaced on the Internet.
Soon after, a video directed by popular
video director, Sesan, went viral and was welcomed with a lot of
criticism as most people called it ‘trash’.
The singer quickly stated that the song was leaked and 24 hours later, he shot another video in London with Moe Musa.
Although the singer posted on twitter
that he has three videos of the song and fans should watch the one they
like the most, fans have expressed that they do not find any of the
video appealing.
Some stated that the latest video looks
like a replica of the American music duo, LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.
Others said that he should not have wasted his money shooting another
video in London as the one Sesan directed was better.
A fan, Mariatu Wurie, commented on YouTube.com saying, “Everyone and their grandma in this video. I wish there was more dancing and less nonsense.”
“Gud one Davido…one question tho, why did
you have to shoot the video abroad? Our dancers here would have done a
better job. Asides that, good concept, averagely played out…I’m a fan,”
said Austin Solomon.
Another fan said, Inda said, “Isn’t that the Party Rock Anthem concept. Smh.”
